Sweet Home Central School District is a New York State public school district that serves the towns of Amherst and Tonawanda, New York of Erie County. The school district serves about 4,000 students in seven schools including one high school, one middle school, four elementary schools, and one alternative School. Parents of high school and junior high students are reminded that the boundary for transportation is 1.5 miles. Service to some walk areas has been deleted in order to consolidate bus routes and make routes more cost efficient. It’s a decently sized school but you can become familiar with everyone very quickly. It’s pretty easy to make friends here, as well, with the wide variety of friend groups. My school gets a bad wrap most of the time…which is understandable, I guess. A lot of students are out of control and, if I’m being honest, some of the teachers could use a bit of a refresher on the curriculum.
